Creativity and community shouldn’t require a commute.

You don't have to cross a river to find your people. Jersey Creative Lab brings improv, comedy, and creative classes to the heart of Hoboken and Jersey City - built for locals who want to get out, meet people, and actually learn something new. Whether you've never set foot on a stage or just need a reason to get out of the house, you'll find a welcoming community here that helps you loosen up, laugh more, and feel genuinely excited about what's next.

Meet people locally. One scene at a time

We create hyperlocal creative communities.

We’re not just running classes - we’re building a real local comedy scene in New Jersey.

Our goal is to create a path where you can start as a total beginner, grow into a confident performer, and eventually join local house teams that perform right here and at comedy festivals across the country.

As Jersey Creative Lab grows, we're expanding what we do—and where we do it:

  • New Programs: Moving into stand-up comedy, screenwriting, and youth programs.

  • Expanding the Map: We love Hoboken and Jersey City, but we're already looking to bring the Lab to other areas of New Jersey soon. Locations and dates are currently TBD, but we are on the move.

There isn't much like this in the area right now, and we're excited to build it with the people who live here.

Testimonials

  • The guidance from Nick to let go of over thinking / intellectualizing your responses was quite freeing. The group activities / exercises also enabled this in an organic way. The freedom from being overly self conscious was also very freeing and grew with every class.

    Peter from Hoboken

  • Nick was an amazing teacher. The group was filled with talented people who I can call new friends.

    Corey from Union City

  • Nick was so welcoming and encouraging, pulled us out of our comfort zone but not in a scary way

    Sunanda from Hoboken

  • I really like how there was a mix of games and scene work. This class really helped me think on my feet more and be more comfortable performing in front of people. Even simple things like maintaining eye contact got a lot easier. And it was also a lot of fun!
